Well done Georgia (7th), Mhairi (17th), Emma (31st) & Katherine (36th), U17 Women silver medallists in the Scottish Athletics #LindsaysXC Short Course at Kirkcaldy.
We welcomed Dave Hall back into the Scottish hills today, and having lived at altitude for the last 3 months and then supplemented that with a shot of adrenalin before leaving the house (read car batteries flat and running late). He charged off up to the Tinto summit with a fair lead over Tom then … Continue reading Tinto Hill Race

The 3rd and penultimate match of the 2019 Scottish Men’s League got underway at a hot and humid track in Aberdeen. The Northumberland Coastal Run has been an annual event for me the last 6 years. It’s an amazing run along some of the most beautiful beaches in the English border country. And before you know it, it’s all over. The legs are tired and not that willing anymore, but somehow you get yourself to that last race to get it all over and done with! Five races in 5 days is trying no doubt and finishing it gives you great sense of achievement. Well done CAAC … Continue reading Tour of Fife the final day
If memory serves me right the fourth day is the hardest. Your legs are tired, your spirits low and unless you have Capt’n Al nobody who manically bounces around to get you going! Your attitude tends to be ‘right let’s get this over and done with’. Then once you get going and you’ve turned back … Continue reading Tour of Fife day 4
Then there is the mile. An ‘easy’ one to rest the legs after an evening on the beach and one in the hills. It would be easy weren’t it for the fact that you’ve been up and down a big hill and your legs are tired. Added to that you are now also firmly obsessing … Continue reading Tour of Fife Day 3
Driving home I saw East Lomond hill bathed in sunshine. I felt a pang of guilt not going to support the CAAC ToF elite. However that hill is big and I wasn’t ever going to go all the way up there just to say well done keep going. If you haven’t been to Falkland then … Continue reading Tour of Fife Day 2
Today the Tour of Fife started. The beach race. One of my favourites so as I am little bit crocked at the moment I decided I shouldn’t run, but I should at least make to effort to see my CAAC team mates off on their first run. A walk on the beach helped spot Ally … Continue reading The Tour of Fife
