CORSTORPHINE AAC’s social events have raised £881 for the club.
Last month’s ceilidh and raffle at Bainfield Bowling Club made a profit of £597, while the annual quiz night held at Corstorphine Cougars RFC in December earned £284.
The surplus funds will be put towards transport costs to help youngsters attend training sessions.
Co-captain Janet Grigor said: “It was great to see people getting together and enjoying the quiz night and ceilidh. The profit made will be very useful.”
It comes after a range of foodbank items were donated to the Broomhouse Community One Stop Shop following the club championships in September.
Thank you to everyone who organised, attended or supported the events.
