The Assistant Coach award is suitable for existing helpers or athletes aged over 16. More info on what is involved is here but it is a mixture of online learning and attending a one day in-person workshop (no assessment) There are also mandatory online modules to complete in First Aid and Safeguarding.We fully appreciate some may not be able to commit regularly to helping at training due to other commitments. However, we can place you on a rota to suit whatever time you do have. We can also buddy you up with a mentor to help support you.
The club will pay the cost of these courses upfront, so if any of the dates suit please email Chris (secretary@caac.org.uk )or Harry (corstorphinecto@gmail.com) by Nov 14th and we will forward your name to reserve your space. After this date the courses will open up to the wider community and will become fully subscribed quickly.

Officials play a vital role in club and other competitions, and it is an area where we struggle to recruit. We are planning to hold more in-house and friendly competitions next year, but we will need help from our members/parents to deliver these – so these courses would be ideal.
There are eight different roles within officiating such as Track, Field, Admin………. so there is something for all. Roles are briefly described below, course dates and how to book can be found here The club will refund your costs so please let us know if you want to do a course – we can pay upfront if anyone is struggling.
