Some fantastic runs by members of CAAC at Saturday’s Inter District Cross Country Championships in exceedingly tough conditions at King’s Park in Stirling.
Highlights include a superb senior men’s individual silver 🥈medal for Tom Martyn who finished the 8km race a mere second behind the winner Sean Chalmers (Scotland North/Inverness Harriers). Tom and 7th placed Calum McKenzie – who both beat a host of international athletes – helped the East District secure senior men’s team gold 🥇 40 points ahead of runners up team, Scottish Students, which included CAAC’s Edinburgh Napier’s student James Dunn as one of its counting finishers.
In the U17 Men’s 6km race David Addison won individual bronze 🥉 helping the East District secure the U17 men’s team silver 🥈 just 4 points behind West. His sister Hannah (University of Aberdeen) helped Scottish Students win team bronze 🥉 in the Senior Women’s 8km race.
