RACE DETAILS
The CAAC 5 route is an accurately measured and certified 5 miles. The race was first run in 2004 as an event connected with the bi-annual Corstorphine Fair, however it was such a great success it has been a fixture in the calendar since. With the backing of the Fair and generous donations from race sponsors the race has gone from strength to strength. The route is on the open road starting from the end of Turnhouse Road and circling Turnhouse Golf Course and Cammo. There is a fast downhill start before doubling almost towards the town and round Cammo, a good uphill is quickly followed by a sharp downturn in the road to the 3mile mark. Just before the 4 mile mark there is another incline before the course drops to a fast finish just off Turnhouse Road.

Thank you corstorphine for letting me be so rubbish last night so I could do part of my retirement present despite injury and no training. The club members with me were a delight. As an organiser of Perth’s brig bash I look forward to seeing any of you that are entered into it. Jean x
