Falkland Hill Race
I've been testing out my chronically sore hips recently with mixed results. Midgy Ben Sheann a week or so ago was the first hill race, or indeed any race since March, but the Norway mountaineering experience gave me all the uphill stamina I needed and I finished 20th. Monday was a downer over Arthur's Seat tops with the Monday group, as I seized up with another attack of a type of cramp. Never mind, a visit to the Kingdom is always a pleasure and the Falkland hill race is uncomplicated, straight up East Lomond and down again, and I was 21st and got a nice box of posh chocs! I'm going to give the Law Breaker a go on Weds, as I was disappointed with not being able to join OCH in 2011 in his Laws odyssey, so if anyone is interested, let me know, but I will be leaving early to avoid the rush hour!

It was a warm evening for the Law Breaker, and there was a good turnout for this latest Bog and Burn race, effectively free as the £5 entry fee was negated by everyone getting a £5 voucher from Sweatshop Edinburgh-I managed to grab another 2 later, and a pint in the Woolpack-my favourite howff in Tillicoultry.
