|Quite a few from the club are doing the race so reccy this bit again. Though everyone must know this bit quite well. Good work out though as quite a few hills. Was going fine until the climb up the Braids when my foot went numb for the first time in more than 6 months. Calves had been crazy tight since yesterdays run in the Pentlands that even stretching couldn't ease off. Then with running up hills the usual insane tightening happened to point it feels like permanent cramp, but just in the inner most calve muscle group. It's not sore after than, just a totally numb foot, though the uncomfortably tight calf remains that prevents a proper stride or ankle flex. Had to hobble round after than and do my best to try and keep up. Group didn't bothered to wait for me at the usual regrouping points! I think I might just do the same to others in the future.
