Mighty Deerstalker

So it's only a few weeks until another round of running madness in the forests of Traquair. Billed as 10k, its more like 10 miles! Through stinking swamps, along rivers, over slippy obstacles, in the pitch dark while wearing fancy dress. But the wild party afterwards, with live bands and lots of local beer, more than makes up for! Just ask anyone that was there last year.

Borders XC - the Berwick and Cedar Cafe double

Having thoroughly prepared for this race I was half asleep when I arrived at Gillian and Dean's for the drive across to Berwick. I plonked myself on their sofa and suggested that I would just watch the telly and do some home baking while they made the journey to Berwick for the run through the sand, sea and over the headland.......... However as the Cedar Cafe was beckoning after the run I decided that a 4 mile plod would be followed by the now customary essential intake of protein and carbohydrates (sausage, egg and chips to some) to refuel and recover.

2011

So 2011 arrives in 12 hours, i know this is generally a mainstay of the coach-athlete confidentiality agreement however as we are all trying to help each other alongside a heathly appetite to outdo, out i thought i'd put mine out there.
