Results: 15 Ian Robert JOHNSTON 18:12 22 Mikey ANDERSON 18:38 24 Dean CARR 18:55 25 Bruce MALCOLM 19:00 66 Steven BLAIR 21:07

Easy as 1,2,3 for CAAC at Lauder.

Another great attendance by the club at the second Border XC down at Lauder today. Conditions were very tough going. Windy, rainy and very muddy underfoot. Everyone done well and the clubs top 3 counters coming in position 1,2,3 (Dave S, Keith H and CoB) was fantastic. I think everyone enjoyed the challenging condition today judging the smiles on peoples faces at the end. However those were quickly washed away as we all jumped in the burn to wash the mud away after the race, brrrrrrr. We headed up to the Lauderdale Hotel for a nice warm coffee (pint of Tennants for Susan) and some soup.

New York Marathon, Sunday 1st November

Everybody should do this once in their life. My excuse was to mark my 50th birthday, albeit 9 months ago! Carol and I travelled to New York - a first visit for each of us - on the Wednesday. Awake with jet-lag on Thursday, I went for an early morning run to Central Park in order to run round the reservoir, just like Dustin Hoffman in Marathon Man.
