Races down South

First of all, Happy New Year everyone!! May 2010 be another successful year for CAAC! Being the Xmas holidays, I am back down South in my native land, and of course couldn't pass the time without a few races thrown in.

BARF Turkey Trot

I decided to do this hill race in Northern Ireland a few months back after finding it on the web and realising it was within striking distance of Steph's parent's place near Armagh.

The Results : The Down 'N' Up 2009

This years event was the most festive ever! Santa was there, though he looked a bit bedraggled and worse for wear, evidently putting in a lot of hours to try combat the credit crunch. Plenty of elves and of course the star draw it was the first white DownNUp, don't know what the odds were at the bookies for that?

A beautiful day in Dunbar

Another large contingent of CAACers turned out for the 3rd race in the Borders Series at John Muir Country Park, Dunbar. Condition were beautiful, if a little cold but great for racing. The course has a much improved start/finish from previous years, but still included the leg sapping beach section, followed by fast and furious trail race through the forest at the end.
