Aberdeen proves lucrative venture for CAAC

At the 2011 East District Championships Anthony Addison finished 3rd U13,  Andrew Christy 3rd U20 1st Team & Sen 2nd Team, Callum Smith U20 1st Team, Jack Williams U20 1st Team, Grant Wilkie 1st V40, Keith Hood Sen 2nd Team, Kris Berry Sen 2nd Team, Bryan Clark Sen 2nd Team, Adam Priestley Sen 2nd Team and Callum McKenzie Sen 2nd Team all came away with medals at Old Aberdeen University playing fields. The Veteran Men were cruelly denied the pleasure of winning the team title, after first being presented with medals only to nicked away by the rightful winners Carnegie after quick scrutinisation by AJ. There was no snow to play with up North but solid ground and a challenging course.

Thanks to the Aberdeen clubs for putting on a great day course and superb facilities were right on hand.

Full report, results to follow and as always a raft of pictures!

Report, Cross Country,

Congratulations one and all! You have made an ex member, proud and jealous at the same time.
When I think back to times when I ran in the mid 90's to late 90's at the East Discrit champs and now seeing yesterdays results it's mind blowing.

Happy Christmas to everyone at CAAC, but beware I going to be getting MADAC motivated to get up to your lofty position!

Well done to everyone that ventured North and ran for the club. It's great to see medal winners in various categories and especially to Keith for coming 5th in the senior race and here's hoping he get's a well deserved call up for the East  on 7th January at Holyrood.        ( watch out Bekele )

Amazing. Well done to all of you!

More fantastic results for the club. Well done to all.

Other notable performances on the day included a great run by Hannah Addison to finish 4th in the U15 Girls race. Matthew Galloway finishing 9th in the U15 Boys and brother Chris Galloway finishing 5th in the U17 Men. The masters men finished up 2nd team after being displaced by Carnegie.

Well done to all up in Aberdeen it was a grand day out!

Ah you make an old man proud.

Keith your powers increase with age, how do you do it?

Everyone else...you are all epic too.

It was a long journey up to Aberdeen on Saturday , but boy , was it worth it.
You certainly did us proud , all of you !
Special mentions to Anthony Addison in the U13 & a great run also from sister, Hannah , narrowly missing a medal in 4th place & a mention also to mum , Stephanie who was sole representative for CAAC ladies in 38th position .

The U20’s , Senior Men & Vets also have shown the East Scotland Teams how solid we are at every age group . To see the Senior Men run so close to Central however was fantastic . They were, after all National Champions last year .

Once the Vets category changes down to 35 yrs again next year , we should sweep the floor in this category , as Keith , Moray ( I think ) & a fit Nigel will fall into this category ( as well as being counters as Seniors also ) , along with Grant , Ian , Mike , Bruce etc…

Well done again to you all !
