Thanks for adding my name to the list Keith. Yes, I'll be happy to make up the extra team. Winter wouldn't be winter without a yearly trip to Cumbernauld!

I’ve been laid pretty low with a flu like virus for the last week or so and won’t be able to run on Saturday, sorry.
Good luck everyone, this has been real Cumbernauld weather! Enjoy the mud.

There was some discussion of lifts at training tonight, so thought I'd continue it here to make sure everyone is sorted.
I've agreed to take Gordon, Susan and Jo through, filling my car.
Who still needs a lift and who is got space in there car to take others?
Mind to heed the road diversion in Cumbernauld mentioned on the instructions given on the SA website when making plans, so it doesn't turn out like the fiasco that was the CC at Dundee.
I think Alex also mentioned he was working at the weekend so would not make the race.

Thought I had put my name down but don't seem to be on the list of those entered. I will be taking Caitlin through anyhow so wouldn't mind running if there is a spare number. davida

Andrew can I provisionally book a space? I also have my car but would prefer to car share rather than drive through myself. If anyone else needs a lift and knows the way to Cumbernauld then it's no problem to add my car to the carpool.

Cool- I'll take Cob, Pilky and Grant tomorrow. If you get to PC world for 11:30. If anyone wants to leave earlier or later thats fine just post it here. 11:30 is just a rough guess.
Thanks

Ta and fine by me. I'll let you know if anybody gets back to me. I always get lost (usually end up on the Kincardine Bridge!) when I go to Cumbernauld.

On a calm. dry day, (must be a first)CAAC had nearly 40 runners through all age groups, and had some good team results, but all could of been better if we had 3rd counters in 1 male and 2 females junior teams. Anthony had best result finishing 2nd in U13 male team and Jo (U15)had brought the girls team into 5th spot.
Senior ladies had 2 complete teams, finishing 30th anf 50th, with newbie Ruth running fastest leg of the day for CAAC girls!
Senior men had that look of medals about them as I watched Dermot and Adam sprint about in their warm-ups! With plenty of banter between the CAAC team, it was Dermot who gave the club, and confused some officals, a great start coming home in 4th place and 10th fastest. Rejuvenated Kris had a good run, but fell back to 7th, passing on to top CAAC junior man, Andrew, who was only 2 seconds slower than Kris, holding onto 7th place. Andrew passed on to Tommy who held his own finishing 9th overall.
CAAC vet team had great expectations to right the wrong info on SAL web, with hope of emulating last years 2nd team. However, they had to settle with 5th spot behind Ronhill Cambuslang H 59.29, Carnegie H 60.38, Bellahouston RR 61.47 and Fife.
What seemed like a good 7 teams for CAAC senior men, I was a bit lost when I didn't see 4th leg runners for teams 'C', 'E' and 'F'. However results seemed to show the same!? Why 3 in-complete teams?
anyway, a good day all round, well done. Now for the pile of photo's. Which is best way to display them?

Cheers Dave. Basically the incomplete teams were the result of entered athletes not making it known they couldn't attend and last minute injuries. It was all too late to shuffle things around otherwise our Men's C team would have placed top 20 I'm sure.
Good showing from the club with plenty of depth still missing.

Nick - you are not long back from injury and you are still having problems with your calves. Don't be so hard on yourself. Just don't overdo it too soon and you will gradually get back to the fitness you had.

Indeed David, great runs from both girls in that team. Also wrong in these results were;
Matthew Young should actually read Matthew Murray
Matthew Murray should read Connor Johnston
In the senior ladies Sarah Anderson ran 19.48 on the first leg
In the senior men Nigel lamb should read David Arnott
Ian McPherson should read Gordon McLean
Finally, Derek Ireland should read Graham McLean
