That track season started with a bang at Meadowbank and the Lothian Trials. Craig Knowles showed a fine Winter's work has been done recording a early season 23s for 200m. Headline maker Anthony Addison finished first in the U13 800m recording 2m26s, a time which is only 4s outside the 17year old record of Steven O'Brien for the age group. One record which could certainly be changing hands this season! Also showing well in the middle distance events were Stephen and Hannah Addison; Fergus and Callum Campbell and finally Matthew Murray who threw 18.35 to finish 3rd in the Javelin. All of the 6 youngsters competed in a Sprint, a Middle Distance and Field event. Great practice for the season ahead.

Nice running by all.
Going to make the target a bit harder for Anthony I'm sure I ran 2.20 at the nationals as a 2nd year U13. Not sure how to check it but i remember getting beat into 2nd by a intruderer from Sunderland AC at Grangemouth. I've still got a scar on my leg from that race.
Pretty sure i can check that
