Addison posts early season marker at Lothian Trials

That track season started with a bang at Meadowbank and the Lothian Trials. Craig Knowles showed a fine Winter&;s work has been done recording a early season 23s for 200m. Headline maker Anthony Addison finished first in the U13 800m recording 2m26s, a time which is only 4s outside the 17year old record of Steven O&;Brien for the age group. One record which could certainly be changing hands this season! Also showing well in the middle distance events were Stephen and Hannah Addison; Fergus and Callum Campbell and finally Matthew Murray who threw 18.35 to finish 3rd in the Javelin. All of the 6 youngsters competed in a Sprint, a Middle Distance and Field event. Great practice for the season ahead.

Nice running by all. Going to

Nice running by all.

Going to make the target a bit harder for Anthony I&;m sure I ran 2.20 at the nationals as a 2nd year U13. Not sure how to check it but i remember getting beat into 2nd by a intruderer  from Sunderland AC at Grangemouth. I&;ve still got a scar on my leg from that race.
