2010 Autumn Handicap - 16th September
Posted by Tommo. Sun, 22/08/2010 - 8:42pm
This year's Autumn handicap takes place on Thursday 16th September. It's a relaxed affair for U17's and over full details of which can be found here - http://caac.org.uk/handicap
If you want to take part then please inform your coach or email me (tom@ferrington.co.uk) - you will have to supply me with recent times from a 1mile, 2mile, 3km, 5km or similar distance race in order to for me to give you a fair handicap (failure to provide any indication of form will result in me looking silly when you win the race by a street!).
See you there.
Tom (Handicapper General).
Roll Up Roll Up!
20 entrants so far in for the handicap this year. Remember to tell your coach or email me if you want to take part. Indication of form much appreciated!
I presume it's a 7pm (sharp?) start for this? What's the distance? 1 lap or 2 laps?
I'm an Autumn handicap first timer!
Cheers.
Dave et. al.,
It's one lap - roughly 3.6146km. The first runners are off at 7pm Sharp - it's looking like a record field again. Try and be there for 6.30 or so so you've got half an hour to complain about your handicap!
Can someone take a look at the page with the previous results, the links to the PDFs appear to be broken. Was wondering what my time from last year was. cheers
cheers for the heads up, should be right now.
And this is your second last chance to enter the handicap - you know the drill...
I really should have check the website sooner as I thought it was the club champs tonight! Sorry I missed it!
Think I will give the club handicap a miss as it is slightly further distance that I am used to and dont think I could suffer the embarrassment of starting first and finishing last, haha!
Stephen, you were spotted doing the Glasgow 10k! So no excuses about it being too far will be entertained. :-)
