John R. Weir Tour of Fife 2010
Online entries open on Monday
19th April 2010
Can you just mention it is the 6th today so a wee while to wait yet! I'll be signing up though. I won't be warming up or cooling down with Grant or Chris this year!
Places going fast! I was 43rd person to enter just now.
That's me in too and 55 places gone out of the 150 available.
1st race is in Giffordtown (pronounced Jefferton) instead of Luthrie, new location is a bit closer to Edinburgh (from recollection it's a nice route if it's not hot or in the woods).
11 club members entered so far.

Got to be Turnhouse. Did it last year and it's great fun. The final down hill is a belter.
Relays sound good and there's the Scottish Gas races on the Sunday to make it an 8 day event.
Musselburgh 10K on the 24th is a good one, did it last year. Makes it 9 races in 9 days.
Are there online entries for those two events Bruce/Corrie? I certainly cant find the former..?
You're not serious are you? If so, it'll be interesting to compare your 10K time from Musselburgh with the Scot Gas 10K 9 days later!
Don't think online entries are open for either yet, Musselburgh will be from q-Buster or the Musselburgh AC website - Scot Gas from Edinburgh AC website or the SA Grand Prix web pages.
Good Luck!
Entries have been open for less than 24 hours and there are only 30 places left! Be quick if you want to enter.
The initial 150 places have gone and there is now a waiting list. Last year extra places were made available so you never know. Alex C and Dave H are the other CAACers in.
I see FIFE AC are organising a "mini tour" for juniors this year. Maybe some of our kids would like to try. Its all 5 nights 7th to 11th June and they have different distances for U11,U13,U15 and u17s.
Full details on http://www.minitour.org.uk/
Go on - show the old guys we can do it too!

In order that everyone gets over to Giffordtown on Sunday I'll start the ball rolling. I have space for four others, Jan and Chris O have two of the spaces but I'll see Dave H when he's back from his holidays so that is another gone.
I'm sure as the week goes on things will sort themselves out. I'll be wimping out of the overnight camping but will dutifully head into the North Sea as tradition dictates.
I'll be driving up, and should be giving a lift to Susan, Kerry and Corrie, at least until Tuesday. 4 is probably the comfortable limit in my car with kit etc, but if needs must could probably squeeze a fifth.
I plan to camp from Thursday -> Saturday. And looking forward to the traditional swim in the sea at Saint Andrews. What are the odds that the water will be warm this year?! :-)
And I should be fit enough to do the races this year! Yeah!
Grant could I grab the last place in your car?
Certainly.
