Greenmantle Dash

A good race I was told. A gentle jog to blow the cobwebs away after hogmanay! Well perhaps I just didn&;t appreciate that 650ft was going to be vertical and not horizontal and that the muddy field was actually a boggy field! After navigating two jumps and a babbling brook, the next 0.5 mile was a boggy field followed by a muddy one! Anyway once a the foot of the hill there was the climb and for some a run back down again (if only I could stay upright!). Still Corstorphine managed to be the second senior mens team home and good performances by all! And if the truth be know I did enjoy it! Well done to Kieth, Dave L, Grant, Dean Dave H and Gillian.

If you enjoyed that you should try the Devil's Burdens Relay on 28th January. It's a 4 stage hill relay run over the Lomond hills in Fife. We need, I think, 6 runners becuase stages one and three are run in pairs. Let me know who's interested, we would need to enter by the 21st of January. Have look in the fife ac website for more info; http://www.fifeac.co.uk
